This meeting is what started the Dukes craze in our household. While attending Cowboy Church in Nashville, Ben "Cooter" Jones stopped by and sang a couple of songs. After church he invited everyone to stop by his new Dukes Of Hazzard museum. From this photo on, it was Dukes Of Hazzard almost 24/7 in our house.

This is Johnathon dressed as "Little Rosco". He just had to arrest Ben "Cooter" Jones. After seeing Johnathon dressed in this outfit he asked him to come up on stage during Dukesfest 2007 with the cast.

Then after a quick change in the bathroom he went from "Little Rosco" to "Little Cooter". Cooter then asked him to dress as "Cooter" during the dinner on Friday Night and and stage with the cast on Saturday during Dukesfest 2007. Wonder whole muscles are bigger?

It was a real honor for us when Michael the manager at Cooter's asked us for copies of all the pictures we have of Johnathon in his costumes meeting the cast members of the Dukes of Hazzard. The last time we were in the museum he showed us this wall and told us this is where the pictures will go. He hopes to have them up by Dukesfest 2007. Thank You Michael!! Will let you know how this turns out.

This day was an event. Johnathon was playing basketball with the Upward program, and they had a game that morning in our town at 9am. That meant the game would not be over until 10am and John was only going to be at Cooters until 3pm. As soon as the game was over we took off for Nashville, which is about 3 1/2 hours away. We got there around 1:30pm and they had already shut the line down, because of the crowd. Perry dropped Johnathon and I off and we went to park the car. When we walked into the front door, one of John's buddies saw Johnathon holding the poster of him arresting John in Little Rock. He took Johnathon by the hand and said come on. He took us in the back door and after seeing the picture John stopped the line to talk to Johnathon. Poor Perry missed it all he was still parking the car. Everything happened so fast.

Here Johnathon is standing in front of John's personal General Lee that just sold on ebay for $9.9 Million.

This picture was made at Nashville Visitors Center. We brought the posters to get Cooter to sign them, but instead he asked if he could have them to hang in the museum.

This is Miss Alma, Cooter's wife. She is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. She and Cooter both just love to see the look on the childrens faces when the get to meet one of the cast members or hear that horn blow on the General Lee.
August 2008

Johnathon and Cooter get to share a special day together -- "THEIR BIRTHDAY" -- which is August 30. Johnathon turned 7 and Cooter was 67. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU"
